Responsibilities

• Record observations and findings during diagnostics run and decide on the correct method of repair as necessary.


• Plan and organize Preventive Maintenance system (PPM) and delegate specific tasks to concerned section/mechanic


• Hands-on supervision of all workshop activities, especially technical issues


• Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.


• Maintain inventory of all stocked spare parts


• Prompt response to all maintenance request to minimize vehicle repairs downtime


• Ensure job cards are opened for every routine maintenance and vehicle repairs carried out in the workshop


• Ensure job completion forms are signed by the vehicle allottees for all maintenance carried out in the workshop


• Supervise the technician and ensure perfect repairs.


• Ensure monthly maintenance report.


• Ensure weekly spare parts report


• Ensure safety practices in the workshop is maintained

Requirements

• HND / B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering


• Minimum of 5 years strong Engineering experience with an established Vehicle Workshop


• Good knowledge of vehicles


• Product knowledge & skills to handle technical problems, warranty issues


• Ability to guide & train others


• Good communication ability both verbally and in writing


• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Package.


• Problem solving skill and team spirit
