  • As a Hotel Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our hotel operations.

  • You will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain financial records, and implement effective financial controls.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for the hospitality industry.


Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:



  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.

  • Provide management with regular financial reports, budget variance analysis, and forecasting.


General Ledger Management:



  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:



  • Process invoices, monitor accounts payable, and manage vendor relationships.

  • Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.


Budgeting:



  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget.

  • Work with department heads to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.


Internal Controls:



  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard assets.

  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.


Tax Compliance:



  • Prepare and submit required tax documentation in accordance with local regulations.

  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.


Collaboration:



  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.

  • Collaborate with external auditors as needed.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
