Job Purpose       



  • To originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development in NPK Plant.

  • Manages all system processes and procedures for manpower recruitment, attendance, transport facility, payroll activities and employee welfare for NPK Plant. 


Core Responsibilities 



  • Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves problems.

  • Partner with Indorama HR team in Port Harcourt and formulate a HR Policy Manual, HR Employee Hand Book and Employee code of Conduct and Disciplinary Code of Conduct in line with Nigerian Labour laws.

  • Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Provides leadership for Human Resources strategic planning for NPK plant operations.

  • Handle and resolve IR related issues and set a framework for handling worker related issues.

  • Coordination of manpower engagement and shift roasters. 

  • Responsible for processing of attendance for preparation of salaries. 

  • Preparation of salaries and allowances for payments. 

  • Coordination of Medical Health Insurance of employees and family members. 

  • Responsible for optimization of manpower engagement. 

  • Responsible for analysis of attendance, man-hour analysis, leave etc. 

  • Manage operations employee staff buses journey management and attendance system  

  • Coordinate with Catering Contractors and Staff Buses Vendors 

  • Generate MIS on manpower. retirement forecast. 


Qualifications


Experience 


Skills / Knowledge / Competencies 



  • 10 – 12 years of work Experience 

  • Must be a Nigerian with membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) 

  • Strong negotiation, engagement, communication & report writing skills. 

  • Ability to work at both strategic operational levels. 

  • Sensitive people skills: a high level of emotional intelligence; excellent interpersonal skills; a wide understanding of people issues. 

  • Competent computer skills.
