Job Summary



  • They are urgently in need of a well experience professional to join their team in the capacity of a Divisional Head Logistics. This individual will have the opportunity to lead the logistics aim of the company, the position will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of exceptional talent that makes innovation possible; one of the main focuses will be strategy positioning, mentoring, and coaching of the team to deliver the most efficient logistics operations.


Strategic Competencies:



  • Planning, develop, implement logistics operations strategies

  • Responsible for implementing the budget for the department.

  • Set and manage global operations targets for the teams across the company

  • Advise and supervise implementation of relevant operations policies.

  • Market intelligence gathering through monitoring competitor activities, generation and analysis of reports pertaining to the same.

  • Monitor and enforce strict compliance with industry regulatory standards


Technical Competencies:



  • You will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of exceptional heads of unit.

  • Supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all units.

  • Acting as the decision-making source for the Div.

  • Building and delivering productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other 3rd parties to achieve efficient operations

  • Perform research and identify new innovations.

  • Responsibleforsetting time frame and all operation goals.

  • Periodically review and implement standard delivery time from for all category of operations.


Management Competencies:



  • Mentoring, training, and developing teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes

  • Creating, communicating, and maintaining quality control policies and standard operating procedures.

  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using high efficiency strategies to delight customers

  • Interpret big data, and deliver meaningful results that keenly drive productivity and efficiency.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual delivery forecasts.

  • Evaluating performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations


Requirements



  • BSc in Transportation Management or any other related Courses

  • Minimum of 12 years work experience in the logistics industry and minimum of 3year as divisional head of operation or similar role.

  • Internal Relationships: HR and Admin, Innovation & Strategy, Business Development, ICT, Service Engineer, Customer service.

  • Age: minimum of 40years


Digital Skills:



  • Database Management skills

  • Data Analytics Software

  • Team collaboration and Task Management tools

  • Cost saving technics – 15% on budgeted cost of operations.
