Job Description

• Work alongside the Head of Maintenance to develop and implement a coordinated maintenance strategy in line with emerging policy


• Provide technical information and assistance to the Management regarding automotive needs and issues; assist in the formulation and development of policies, procedures, and programs


• Support the HOM in the services, repair, and preventive maintenance of all vehicles; develop, implement and supervise preventive maintenance programs; periodically review repair works and procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and efficiency; recommend vehicles for replacement, prepare specifications and arrange for auction or disposal when necessary


• Ensure proper working conditions of the workshop and safety practices are followed


• Control and allocate the flow of work in the workshop to make the best se of staff, equipment, and other resources


• Ensure that vehicles to meet the business requirement at all time


• Ensure that engineering lost mileage is kept to a minimum and take appropriate hands-on corrective action where required including carrying out mechanical repairs when required


• Ensure that vehicles are serviced in accordance with departmental servicing standards


• Ensure that proactive planned maintenance is carried out on vehicles to prevent problems occurring


• Ensure that the workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of high standard and that special tools and equipment are well maintained


• Ensure that each vehicles have a full documented history of work carried out on them.
