  • We seek a good fit for the role of Travel Consultant (Business Development Officer) with great enthusiasm for traveling.

  • The preferred applicants will be responsible for promoting and selling travel packages to prospective and existing clients (individuals or businesses).

  • Our goal is to enhance customer satisfaction acquiring an expanding dedicated clientele in a professional manner.


Responsibilities



  • Responsible for Collection of deposits and balances

  • Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary Travel/tour packages

  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns

  • Attend conferences and relevant industry events to maintain familiarity with travels/tourism trends

  • Create and periodic update of electronic records of clients

  • Maintain relationships with key persons

  • Maintains accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meetings.

  • Contributes to agency efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.


Requirements



  • Experience working as a travel agent will be added advantage

  • Passion for sales

  • Understanding of B2B sales techniques and track record creating, negotiating and closing deals.

  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to negotiate effectively

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Detail oriented and highly organized

  • Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

  • Demonstrable ability to handle crises

  • Ability to speak languages in addition to English preferred.


Renumeration

Basic plus commission.
