JOB SUMMARY:


The project engineer take overall charge of the projects with the ability to liase with clients,contractors, and staff.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage various concurrent projects; both large and small, planning and programming of works including resourcing of the projects for plant and labor resource

  • Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations, and promote a safe work environment for crews on site

  • Work closely with other professionals such as engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders

  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and resources needed for project execution

  • Interpret different architectural and engineering drawings to estimate the total costs and form a budget

  • Identify potential risks and challenges during the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans when required

  • Undertake site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications

  • Responsible for supervision of works and sub-contractors

  • Assist with cost tracking and financial reporting on your section of works


OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • Experience in project management.

  • Must have a COREN certificate

  • Strong technical background in civil, foundation, and structural designs for large industrial facilities

  • Design experience in analysis of underground and above ground structural systems including drainage systems, shallow and deep foundations, above ground structures, and temporary structural systems.

  • Technical understanding of piling designs, building materials, techniques and processes for both modular offsite, and traditional onsite construction.

  • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards

  • Experience as a lead design engineer on multiple industrial facilities.

  • Experience developing specifications and preliminary details to support permitting efforts.

  • Ability to collaborate with project team members and client entities, demonstrating the leadership capabilities to insure a successful project

  • Excellent written and oral skills are required.
