The Role: Flutterwave is seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager with a strong passion for the Small and Medium Business (SMB) domain to join our fintech team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by small businesses in Nigeria. A proven track record of bringing innovative solutions to the Nigerian market is a must.

The Product Manager will play a key role in assisting with defining and executing the Product Strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving the product roadmap to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business goals, market trends and customer needs. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.


• Roadmap Planning and Execution: Create and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to drive product development and successful product launches. Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with product goals/objectives.


• User Experience and Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly experiences. Incorporate user feedback and data analytics to continuously improve and optimize the product.


• Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with compliance teams to ensure the product meets all necessary legal and regulatory standards.


• Performance Analysis: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for our product. Analyze data and customer feedback to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.


• Required competency and skill set to be a waver:


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Product Management, or a related field


• Proven 6+years’ experience as a Product Manager in the fintech industry, with working knowledge of the small business domain.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Experience with Agile development methodology and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)


• Familiarity with payment systems


• Proven ability to drive the successful launch of products from concept to market.


• Ideally have experience starting/operating a small business in Nigeria
