JOB SUMMARY:

The heavy duty mechanic will be responsible for inspecting engines and work equipment’s, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform mechanical repairs and overhaul company mechanize equipment according to instructions.


• Assist in preparing for load-out, inspect, clean and refurbish equipment for future use, as well as ensuring that a safe and efficient environment is maintained.


• Assist in scheduling workshop activities to maximize efficiency.


• Prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance of specialized equipment


• Maintain good standard of housekeeping practices in workshop and yard


• Provide assistance to the Technical Support Team in regards to implementation and operational support.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Trade Qualification (Mechanic) is essential


• Experience in the repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including troubleshooting and the use of power tools is necessary.


• Experience in the oil and gas sector should be an added advantage


• Proven experience in Maintenance Program


• Ability to work within process, procedures, and checklists


• Knowledge in electrical system
