Job Summary :
As Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing and organizing inventory, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating with suppliers, and facilitating the efficient distribution of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Receive and process incoming shipments.
- Verify the quality and quantity of received goods.
- Organize and arrange products for easy accessibility.
- Implement an efficient layout for the store.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of stock movements.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status.
- Ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Report and address any issues with damaged or expired goods.
- Adhere to safety and compliance standards in the handling and storage of goods.
- Implement and enforce security measures to prevent theft and loss.
- Assist customers in locating products.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide information about available products.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure timely deliveries.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness for lifting and moving heavy items.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
