We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of mechanical items and motors parts for our client.
You will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with vendors, managing supplier relationships, optimizing purchasing processes, and ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality components at competitive prices.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for mechanical items and motors parts,considering factors like cost,quality,lead time,and reliability.
Identify and qualify new vendors,conduct supplier evaluations,and negotiate favorable contracts.
Manage and maintain existing supplier relationships,building strong partnerships and ensuring consistent performance.
Analyze purchasing data,identify cost-saving opportunities,and implement process improvements to streamline procurement operations.
Oversee the purchase order process,ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize carrying costs.
Monitor supplier performance,address quality issues,and manage returns and warranty claims.
Stay informed about market trends and technological advancements in the mechanical and motors parts industry.
Lead and motivate a team of procurement professionals (if applicable).
Liaise with internal stakeholders across departments (Engineering,Production,Finance) to ensure efficient procurement activities.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and achievements to senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing,Engineering,or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement,preferably focused on mechanical items and motors parts.
Proven track record of successful sourcing,cost reduction,and supplier relationship management.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with vendors.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant procurement software (e.g.,SAP).
