PURPOSE OF JOB


The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for developing and implementing robust supply planning strategies, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer demand efficiently pan Nigeria. The role oversees supply and material planning and management activities within the organization.


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or other related field. 

  •  Candidate must have proven work experience as a Supply Planning Manager

  • Minimum of 6 years cognate experience within the FMCG industry is a MUST.

  • Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel. 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and implement supply and material planning strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure supply chain strategies support the company's growth plans.

  • Determine and supervise production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications weekly, monthly and yearly.

  • Responsible for translation of demand to production; determine materials and manpower required to complete production.

  • Manage demand and supply of full goods, identify delays and changes in plans, and adjust production/ supply plan accordingly.

  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement production plans that align with demand forecasts and inventory targets.

  • Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.

  • Assess and manage all full goods daily and assist team members to manage all production schedules.

  • Manage an efficient inventory level of all safety stock and review all volume requirements for all production materials.

  • Prepare budget and oversee expenditures of full goods.

  • Determine, monitor, and manage planned versus actual sales plan.

  • Monitor the notification of “Phase in, phase out” process of products. 

  • Responsible for all full goods planning (Production, Supply, Inventory and Distribution)

  • ·Assess production adherence reports and recommend improvement plans for any weekly production plan deviation. 

  • ·Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, logistics, and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals
