About the job
- The Head of Sales will oversee the Risk Asset (loan sales) teams/department of the bank, comprising of different Loan products and sales funnels.
- He/She will man the sales budget and portfolio of the bank, oversee the sales teams in developing and implementing sales strategies that will generate active leads across different business verticals, and ensure that bottom-line targets are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic management, business development and profitability of applicable business units
- Planning, implementing and managing commercial strategy and tactical business plans of the bank, taking into account the market opportunities and growth potential, competitor activities, existing capabilities and the bank’s risk appetite.
- Devise and agree product and sales mix strategies
- Manage the entire sales teams/department to achieve periodic sales targets
- Report to the management/Board on all commercial activities as it concerns the sales department.
- Design and implement market penetration plans for all new products, both traditional and digital products
- Define measurable business growth objectives, management processes and measures
- Define and develop a service-based, customer-centric sales culture etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
- HND/BSc/MSc degree in any relevant field from a recognized institution
- 10+ Years working experience in the financial services sector, with at least 5 years in a senior manager sales role.
- Skills: Business Development and sales, Customer service, relationship/People Management, Negotiation, Leadership, Marketing, Strong Credit analysis skills.
- Industry knowledge: Banking, microfinance, FinTech, Financial services
