  • As the Head of Laundry at our hospital’s laundry operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our healthcare facility maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staffs, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:



  • Provide leadership and direction to the laundry team, including supervisors and staff.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective laundry operations.

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate laundry staff to maintain high standards of performance.


Operational Management:



  • Plan and coordinate laundry schedules to meet the needs of various hospital departments.

  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted laundry services.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance.


Quality Control:



  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that all laundry meets established standards for cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Conduct regular inspections of laundry facilities and equipment to identify and address any issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with infection control and environmental services teams to maintain a hygienic laundry environment.


Compliance and Safety:



  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing laundry operations in healthcare settings.

  • Promote and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the laundry department.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to laundry processes and procedures.


Cost Management:



  • Develop and manage the laundry department budget, including labor, supplies, and equipment expenses.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements without compromising quality or safety.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Hospitality Management, Business Administration) is an added advantage.

  • Proven experience in laundry operations management, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of laundry equipment and processes.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
