This is a full-time General Product Manager role located on-site in Lagos for a subsidiary business called Accelerate Plus.
The General Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing product strategies, conducting market research, leading cross-functional teams, defining product requirements, and monitoring product performance.
The General Product Manager will also work closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing success in the market.
Implement business strategies, plans and procedures within Accelerate Plus
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
Assess and manage the risks/threats to the Accelerate Plus platform.
Oversee content curation, moderation, and management on the platform.
Oversee content acquisition, sponsorships, and partnerships.
Create product road map and strategy implementation plan.
Manage and ensure the highest professional level of service delivery.
Establish policies that promote Accelerate Plus’ culture and vision.
Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (HR, Finance)
Assess and minimize risks to Accelerate Plus.
Set strategic goals for Accelerate Plus
Help with recruiting new staff members, when necessary, in line with the HR Policies within Accelerate Plus
Negotiate agreements and contracts for the business unit.
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication within the business unit.
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
Participate in expansion activities on behalf of the business unit (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
Work with the CEO in the capital raise process, forging strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships.
Qualifications
At least 7 years' Experience in product management, including developing and executing product strategies
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
Experience in conducting market research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making
Excellent project management skills to ensure successful product launches and ongoing success in the market
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Experience in the media or entertainment industry is preferred
Experience with technology or software products is beneficial
