Summary
The Cashier is the key driver of station financial operations. He/she is the treasury officer at the retail station. The role coordinates and oversees all cash and related monetary transactions towards the attainment of set goals.
Responsibilities
STANDARDS & CONTROL
- Ensure station financial procedures are operating consistently in line with Enyos Standard and procedures.
- The role ensures the highest standards are met with respect to cash and monetary related transactions.
- Ensures compliance with the vault usage procedures for safekeeping of cash.
- He/She must declare readiness to pronounce and provide an approved individual to stand in as a financial guarantor.
SALES, OPERATIONS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Consistently ensures that all sales and cash operating objectives are attained consistently.
- Responsible for the collection of sales cash from all Customer Service Advisors
- He/ She is responsible for the Collection of POS merchant copies from attendants and adding up/reconciling all POS transactions with recorded sales.
- Must collaborate with the Outlet Manager to ensure judicious use of Operation Expenses, accurate and timely reporting of expenses retirements and reimbursements in line with agreed Enyos procedures.
- Must collaborate with the Outlet Manager to ensure that operating cash reimbursement and retirement are attained consistently in line with the agreed Enyos procedure.
- Ensures all reconciliation of Customer Service Advisors' cash, card & credit sales in the account office by taking the difference between each pump's opening & closing meter and specialities opening and closing stocks.
- Actively ensures timely and safe evacuation of all sales proceeds to the designated financial institution.
DATA MANAGEMENT
- Relays reconciliation Outlet Manager for onward logging on the station reporting core systems (E360 and SMORs).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting and reconciliation of sales/expenses and cash reports
- Prepare relevant financial reports and carry out other duties that may be assigned by the Outlet Manager.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Ensure effective liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Protect the company's corporate image and reputation by avoiding cash exposure and protecting human and environmental integrity at the retail outlet.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Ensure all station personnel perform their duties in accordance with the monetary related operating procedures.
CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT
- Consistent customer relationship management to ensure maximum patronage, referral and retention, customer complaints resolve inclusive.
Requirements
- Minimum Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Minimum of 0-1 year of relevant work experience
- Good use of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
- NYSC Discharge Certificate/Exemption Letter
