- Develop and implement comprehensive plans for steel fabrication and erection activities in alignment with project schedules and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of steel-related activities within the overall project plan.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead a team of steel fabricators, erectors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and high-quality execution of steel-related tasks.
- Provide guidance, support, and supervision to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Quality Control:
- Oversee all aspects of steel fabrication and erection to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections at various stages of fabrication and erection.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture within the steel fabrication and erection teams.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
Resource Management:
- Manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Leadership and Communication:
- Provide clear instructions and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and safety personnel.

- Monitor and control costs associated with steel fabrication and erection activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality standards.
Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve challenges related to steel fabrication and erection promptly.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of steel fabrication and erection activities, including progress reports, inspection results, and any deviations from plans.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to project management.
Qualifications/Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in steel fabrication and erection, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Provide clear instructions and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and safety personnel.
Certification:
- Professional certification in welding inspection (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector, CWI) or steel erection (e.g., American Institute of Steel Construction – AISC).
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication processes, erection techniques, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with structural steel codes and standards.
Leadership Skills:
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team of professionals.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and practices in steel fabrication and erection projects.
