Job Description

• Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) is seeking a passionate individual to be a Venture Partner to MEST companies and to be the chief enabler for assigned portfolio companies to scale effectively and be a part of a team effort to ensure the overall MEST portfolio is thriving.

Key Responsibilities

• To utilize knowledge and skills to grow assigned portfolio companies and to work across all portfolio companies.


• To develop portfolio management skills to become a more rounded and accomplished business advisor for startups that are scaling.


• To work with assigned portfolio companies to diagnose and understand their performance status, develop a plan for scaling effectively, guide, direct and own their growth journey including bringing in relevant internal and external stakeholders.


• To manage projects in order to achieve agreed metrics.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Strategy, Business / Finance, Law or Technology-related Field.


• 5 - 7 years+ strong entrepreneurial experience (e.g. from launching or growing a startup), in conjunction with a demonstrated facility in all financial aspects of transaction-related work.


• Ability to analyze a wide variety of businesses in technology, software, and digital media.


• Excellent organizational skills with a self-starter mentality and also strong attention to detail.


• Outstanding strategic, analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated.
