Job Summary

• Provide strategic guidance on upholstery to the management and company in whole.


• Actualize the company’s objective by designing, interpreting design orders and creating upholstery stencils that aligns all the components of the organization to the company’s vision.


• Supervise and support accurate upholstery preparation,foam installation, batting to the furniture framework, supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in padding, covering, trimming, or renovating upholstered articles, like furniture, or sofa sets, etc.


• Observe workers performing duties and interprets drawings, sketches, and work orders for workers based on knowledge of upholstery methods, style, design of articles and other upholstery positions within the company.

Responsibilities

• Plan productionfrom client order and monitor production until it becomes complete products


• Coordinates all the activities related to production in the factory.


• Prepare material plan, manufacturing plan, job sketches and cut-list for projects.


• Ensure clients job are done according to specifications with right materials


• Conduct Quality Control on all phases of item production before completion.


• Ensure production runs smoothly, safely, clearly and meets production budget and goals.


• On time completion of projects.


• Preparation of job sketches for production.


• Ensure products are produced in conformity with practices, specification and customer’s requirement.


• Generate weekly production plan and communicate same to production team


• Ensure minimum wastage of materials on the production floor.


• Resolve site challenges with consultation from Customer service.


• Preparing of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly report for productivity assessment.


• Advising on materials and designs used on projects.


• Responsible for safety of the factory and on time completion of projects.

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess an OND/HND / B.Sc / M.Sc, etc.


• 3 - 5 years’ experience


• Strong communication and organizational skills.


• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task also side with team members.


• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.


• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.


• Furniture Manufacturing experience is a must.


• Professional training certificate is an added advantage.


• To be successful in this role, you should be quality-focused, detail-oriented, efficient.


• You should be polite, reliable, knowledgeable about furniture making, upholstery, qualitiy control knowledge and adaptability.


• Ability to meet set targets and performance standards.
