Job Summary


As a Business Development Lead for our eProcurement startup, your focus will be on expanding our presence and driving revenue growth within the food industry. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging potential clients, understanding their procurement needs, and positioning our eProcurement solutions as essential tools to streamline their processes. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the food sector, a strategic mindset, and proven expertise in business development.


Responsibilities



  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships within the food industry, understanding the unique procurement needs and challenges of potential clients.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food sector, actively prospecting and engaging potential clients.

  • Present our eProcurement solutions as indispensable tools for streamlining procurement processes, addressing the specific needs of businesses in the food space.

  • Work closely with the product and marketing teams to tailor eProcurement offerings to the requirements of the food industry, ensuring alignment with market demands.

  • Drive the end-to-end sales process, from initial prospecting to contract negotiation, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new clients.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, leveraging this information to refine and develop effective business development strategies.

  • Generate, analyze and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in business development, preferably within the technology or eProcurement sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of the food industry, including procurement processes and challenges.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions effectively.

  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
