Initiating the claim process by opening claim files and generating unique claim reference numbers.
Informing brokers about newly filed claims to ensure timely communication.
Coordinating the collection of claim supporting documents from relevant units and forwarding them to brokers based on the insurance class.
Proactively engaging with units, sending regular reminders, and ensuring timely submission of required documents for comprehensive claims documentation.
Timely appointment of loss adjusters for claim investigations and diligently following up to expedite the submission of adjustment reports to our insurer.
Ensuring the swift receipt of offer letters for claims.
Collaborating with brokers to expedite the settlement of claims, actively updating claim files with payment information.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claim registers to track outstanding documents on various claims.
Systematically recording all reports submitted by risk adjusters and investigators.
Monitoring monthly Good-in-Transit declarations, facilitating prompt payments to brokers.
Undertaking any additional duties as assigned by the organization.
Qualifications
Qualifications include but not limited to: B.Sc / HND – Insurance / Actual Science or Allied Discipline.
Membership of Insurance Bodies will be a clear advantage
