MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST JOB ROLE

• Position patients for optimal comfort and set up effective sterile fields before procedures. 


• Check equipment each day and report major malfunctions to supervisor for attention. 


• Maintain examination rooms and restocked radiological Consumables. 


• Check imaging equipments before and after every use to verify proper functioning.  


• Assist Radiologist during procedures, helping to run machinery and keep patients comfortable and still. 


•  Carried out mammography procedure on female patients. 


• Prepare Patients for special radiologic procedures. 


• Operate Xray machine to produce plain film radiographs for diagnostic purposes.


• Carried out Electocadiogram on all patients 


• Sterilization of all equipment used for Radiological special procedures such as HSG, Fistulogram, MCUG, Barium studies, etc. 


• Assist Radiologist when carrying out CT scans for patents.
