Responsibilities

Responsible for providing leadership, general servicing, maintenance, and repair of the Marcopolo, Toyota Hiace and Youtong buses to ensure zero breakdowns.  

1. Provide leadership for the workshop by establishing vision, strategy, and direction to meet Management objectives.


2. Experienced in engine overhauling 


3. Ensure zero breakdown is achieved.


4. Use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting vehicle faults


5. Plan strategies and coordinate resources for proper coverage of continuous improvement activities of the workshop


6. Ensure predictive and preventive maintenance


7. Maintain an efficient, economical, and continuously improved workshop operation by establishing predictive and preventative maintenance


8. Shall organize and supervise the servicing, maintenance, and repair of the company’s fleet and shall ensure that the vehicles come to the workshop at the designated kilometers for servicing.


9. Develop operating and capital budgets, manage expenses, identify opportunities to reduce costs, and track performance against these budgets.


10. Supervise and coordinate vendors, as required;  


11. Monitor inventory of spare parts; approve requisitions for new spare parts from the Store, as required to ensure that such parts requested are used for the purpose for which they are requested.


12. Deploy a spare parts management system to ensure best practice cost philosophy


13. Ensure the mobile maintenance team is always available when called upon. 

Candidate Profile

1. HND/BSc in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering


2. Minimum of 12 years of relevant and practical experience in managing Technicians/Mechanics


3. Experience in the repairs of Toyota Hiace, Marcopolo, and Youtong buses


4. Good multi-tasking skills


5. Pro-active and organized


6. Leadership, coordinating, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
