Role Description


This is a full-time, on-site role in Oyo and Osun State for a Head of Section (Early Years & Primary). The Head of Section will lead and manage the Early Years and Primary teams, ensure high-quality education for students, and oversee the section's day-to-day operations. S/he will also collaborate with other departments to develop and implement academic policies and programs and maintain positive relationships with parents, teachers and students. S/he will provide leadership in all teaching areas, this includes curriculum and instruction, educational technology, student assessment, use of data, and learning support. 


The Heads of Section (Early Years & Primary) will also be required to initiate, drive and implement business development initiatives and grow the student population. 


Qualifications, Skills, Competencies and Expectations: 



  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field; a Master’s Degree in educational management is an added advantage

  • Minimum 8 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership/management role

  • Excellent knowledge of Early Years and primary education system and curriculum (Nigeria and British)

  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and support teachers and staff, and effectively manage resources and budgets

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community

  • Experience in curriculum development, strategic planning, and program evaluation

  • Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into the classroom is an added advantage

  • Knowledge of continuing professional development trends and its integration into the classroom is an added advantage

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
