  • Our client is recruiting for an area sales manager to join their sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sales representatives, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets


Responsibilities



  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the sales team to ensure professional development and goal attainment.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional plans and campaigns aligned with business objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and distributors.

  • Conduct regular meetings and presentations to communicate product information and updates to clients.

  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and generate reports on key metrics.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize sales results.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

  • Must be based in Abuja or Plateau

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a minimum of 2 years experience as an area sales manager.

  • Experience of Handling a team of 5 to 8 Reps in Lagos and Have Handled General Product Segments and Hospital Products.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, market trends, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Proficiency in sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
