Our client is recruiting for an area sales manager to join their sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sales representatives, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets
Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the sales team to ensure professional development and goal attainment.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional plans and campaigns aligned with business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and distributors.
Conduct regular meetings and presentations to communicate product information and updates to clients.
Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and generate reports on key metrics.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize sales results.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Must be based in Abuja or Plateau
Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a minimum of 2 years experience as an area sales manager.
Experience of Handling a team of 5 to 8 Reps in Lagos and Have Handled General Product Segments and Hospital Products.
Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, market trends, and regulatory guidelines.
Proficiency in sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
