Roles:

• Site visit to all Host Community Projects to check that the Scope of work/Specification is compiled to.


• Check the BOQs/BEMEs of the various community Contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out the estimates of the jobs/Scope on Community Projects


• Assisting the Contractors to prepare BOQs where necessary.


• Taking verbal approval for start of urgent jobs from the superiors


• Monitoring the repair and construction activities and checking the quality of the jobs at site


• Taking measurement, preparing BOQs and check quality at site


• Ensuring that the jobs are completed on time/Submission of measurements; Bills to supervisor (Sr. Engineering) certification and clearing.

Functional Authorities:

• Stopping the job at site in case of non-conformance to quality


• Allowing the construction to start after checking the resources mobilization and quality of material compliance by contractor.


• BOQ/Bill Preparation.

Accountability:

• The staff in this position shall be accountable to the reporting person (SR Engineer) in the position he/she is reporting to and the company when required to so.

Qualifications

Qualification and Experience:

• Qualification: Minimum Bachelor of Engineer or Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Indian or Nigeria University or Polytechnic.


• Experience: Minimum 8 years in construction/building.
