ROLE OVERVIEW
- Under the guidance and direct supervision of the PPO Institutional Cooperation & National Coordination Committees Support, the incumbent is responsible for the follow-up on the coordination and cooperation with the National Coordination Committees, other institutional organ of the ECOWAS Multilateral Surveillance, Technical Partners and other regional organization involved in Multilateral Surveillance.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure follow-up on the operations of the National Coordinating Committees and other institutional organs of the ECOWAS Multilateral Surveillance Mechanism.
- Ensure follow-up on collaboration and cooperation with other regional organizations and technical partners involved in multilateral surveillance mechanism.
- Collates and analyze the national economic and financial reports of the National Coordinating Committees.
- Draw up bi-annual implementation reports of multilateral surveillance.
- Drafting of quarterly and annual Monitoring and Evaluation reports.
- All other tasks as assigned by superior officers.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Statistics, Public Finance Management from a university of recognized standing.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in Public Finance Management, economic research and analysis, policy formulation, application of economic principles in development programmes or related area.
- Knowledge of economic theories and their application
- Good knowledge of principles and operational provisions as well as excellent experience in multilateral surveillance programmes.
- Proven working experience in the formulation and implementation of economic and financial reports.
- Proven experience in drawing up a multilateral surveillance report.
- Proven experience in the use of forecasting and macroeconomic analysis tools.

- Proficiency in information communication technologies (ICT).
- Fluency in oral and written expressions in one of the ECOWAS official languages of the Community (English, French & Portuguese). Knowledge of an additional one will be an added advantage.
