About the role
We are seeking a talented and motivated architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and a passion for creating exceptional spaces. As an architect at Precious Aurum Integrated Services, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from concept design through construction administration, collaborating closely with our consultant, and fellow team members.
Reports to: The Business Development Manager
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time), subject to successful completion of probation
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and schematic drawings for various architectural projects
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for construction documents
- Coordinate with consultant, and contractors throughout the design and construction process
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance with design standards
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in architecture and design
- Act as a liaison between the design team and other project stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring clarity of project objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct thorough site analysis and feasibility studies to assess project viability and inform design decisions.
- Advocate for design excellence and quality assurance throughout all phases of the project, from concept development to project closeout, upholding the firm's reputation for excellence in design and service.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other project team members to integrate structural, mechanical, and other building systems into the architectural design.
- Research building codes, zoning regulations, and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Produce comprehensive architectural drawings and documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural design and project management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other related skills
- Strong design and graphic presentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles is a plus
- Must be currently residing in Abuja, Nigeria
