We are looking to hire an experienced business development/marketer for our client, a startup travel agency located at Gbagada, Lagos.

Job Responsibilities·

• To drive the growth and market presence of a dynamic startup travel company through strategic business development and innovative marketing initiatives. 


• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, industry research, and outreach.


• Develop and execute marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand visibility and customer acquisition. 


• Analyse market trends and customer feedback to recommend improvements to the company's offerings. 


• Collaborate with the product development team to create travel packages that meet the needs of target demographics. 


• Establish and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.


• Represent the company at events, conferences, and trade shows to promote services and build professional networks. 


• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing strategies, adjusting as needed to optimize results.


• Manage social media platforms, creating engaging content to foster community and drive engagement.


• Assist with the creation of promotional materials, including brochures, blog posts, and newsletters. 


• Meet the set target.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development and marketing, preferably in the travel industry.


• Strong understanding of market research techniques and databases.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to pitch and negotiate.


• A creative mindset with the ability to conceive and implement innovative marketing strategies.


• Proficiency in social media strategy and content creation.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to evolving business needs.


• Strong organizational and project management skills.


• A passion for travel and an understanding of travel trends and customer preferences.
