Summary



  • The Senior Sales & Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving business development activities, overseeing marketing strategies, and managing sales operations.

  • The incumbent will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing sales plans, managing staff, and ensuring the achievement of sales objectives.


Key Responsibilities



  • Identify trendsetting ideas by researching industry events, publications, and announcements, and tracking individual contributors' accomplishments.

  • Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners and exploring opportunities.

  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials, and evaluating options.

  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations.

  • Ensure deliverables fit into overall strategic plans.

  • Monitor the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports.

  • Lead the technical sales team by creating ongoing activities that promote the company and its products/services.

  • Maintain sales volume, establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

  • Manage and oversee the sales team to meet specified targets within given time frames.

  • Develop yearly sales and marketing budgets with inputs from all allied departments.

  • Oversee social media platforms, online marketing, marketing communication, brand communication, and public relations.


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferably Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)

  • Minimum of 7 years' cognate experience (preferably in the Fire business), with a wide network of contacts throughout the West African region

  • MBA is an added advantage

  • Must be 37 years and above

  • Successful track record in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies

  • Strong, decisive, results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company

  • Commercial attitude, existing network/knowledge of consultants, specifiers, construction companies, architects, and end-users is an asset

  • Able to learn and understand products technically and support customers in technical questions

  • Product knowledge in Fire systems, HSE products, Access, CCTV, and Intrusion is a plus

  • Willingness to travel frequently
