Description 

• Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Operator Metalizer to join their growing production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the metalizing equipment, ensuring consistent quality output and meeting production targets.


• You will also play a key role in maintaining the equipment and identifying potential issues before they occur.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor metalizing equipment according to established procedures and protocols.


• Adjust process parameters and settings to optimize coating thickness and adhesion.


• Load and unload materials efficiently,minimizing waste and downtime.


• Monitor vacuum levels,gas flows,and other critical parameters.


• Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance tasks.


• Conduct visual inspections of metalized materials for defects and non-conformances.


• Perform thickness and adhesion measurements using designated instruments.


• Maintain accurate records of production data and quality control results.


• Report any quality issues promptly to the supervisor for corrective action.


• Participate in routine preventive maintenance activities as assigned.


• Clean and lubricate equipment according to established procedures.


• Report any equipment problems or potential failures to the supervisor immediately.


• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area.


• Assist other operators and team members as needed.


• Continuously learn and improve your skills and knowledge of the metalizing process.

Qualifications

• BSc or HND in any relevant discipline


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging.


• The candidates must have experience in utility operations such as Machine Health, Slitting Operations, Data Entry, Housekeeping, and safety


• Strong understanding of the metalizing process and its principles.


• Experience operating and maintaining vacuum systems and associated equipment.


• Proficient in basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Physically able to perform the essential functions of the job,including lifting moderate weights and standing for extended periods.
