The Role: 

Flutterwave is seeking a seasoned Associate, Risk & Compliance Reporting, to join our dynamic team. As a fintech company operating in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations is paramount to our success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk and compliance reporting processes. This role requires a keen understanding of financial regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This person should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of risk reporting frameworks to track and monitor key risk indicators.


• Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks.


• Prepare regular risk reports for management review, highlighting key findings and recommendations. They should also be able to support in conducting regular risk assessments and provide insights into emerging risk trends.


• Support the compliance team in ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.


• Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.


• Conduct periodic reviews of compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory changes.


• Utilize analytical tools and techniques to conduct in-depth analysis of risk and compliance data.


• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


• Work with cross-functional teams to validate data accuracy and integrity.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of risk and compliance reporting processes and procedures.


• Assist in the development and implementation of training materials and presentations for internal stakeholders.


• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and information as needed.


• Collaborate with other departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure a coordinated approach to risk and compliance management.


• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address inquiries and provide timely updates on risk and compliance matters.

Required competency and skillset to be a waver:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field


• Proven 4+ years’ experience in risk management, compliance reporting, or regulatory affairs within the financial services industry, with a focus on fintech preferred.


• Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.


• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau).


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
