Position Overview
- We are looking for a skilled and proactive Company/Business Lawyer to provide legal advice and support across various business operations.
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and contributing to the overall success of our company.
Responsibilities
Legal Counsel:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to management and various departments on business-related matters.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure that the company's policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Corporate Governance:
- Oversee corporate governance and compliance matters.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents and reports.
- Provide support in board meetings and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identify legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct legal research and stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
Dispute Resolution:
- Handle legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
Contract Management:
- Maintain a centralized contract management system.
- Advise on contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree and active license to practice law.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience as a Company/Business Lawyer, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and business regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Benefits
