Job Description

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver/Loader to join our team in the furniture industry. As a Driver/Loader, you will be responsible for transporting furniture items to and from various locations, ensuring safe and timely delivery.


• Additionally, you will assist in loading and unloading furniture pieces, as well as providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport furniture items to designated locations.


• Plan delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and ensure on-time deliveries.


• Load and unload furniture items onto and off of vehicles, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.


• Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and ensure all items are accounted for before departure.


• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including courteous interaction with customers and timely resolution of any issues or concerns.


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs to management.


• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving company vehicles.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, loading areas, and delivery equipment.


• Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory management, organization, and stocking of furniture items.


• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.


• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics team members to coordinate deliveries and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements / Skills

• Interested candidates should relevant qualification with 1-2 years experience.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or delivery capacity.


• Ability to safely operate and maneuver large vehicles, including trucks and vans.


• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy furniture items repeatedly.


• Excellent time management and organizational skill, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


• Customer service-oriented attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Attention to detail and accuracy in verifying delivery orders and maintaining records.


• Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, as needed.


• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes preferred.
