Job Description
Role Summary:
As a Biomedical Engineer you will be responsible for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining medical equipment and devices to ensure optimal performance and safety in patient care settings.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test medical devices and equipment, including diagnostic imaging systems, patient monitors, and therapeutic devices, to meet clinical and technical specifications.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, diagnose technical problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders to assess equipment needs, recommend new technologies, and provide technical support and training.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and protocols for medical equipment to extend lifespan, optimize performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in biomedical engineering and healthcare technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience working in biomedical engineering or healthcare technology preferred.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
