Role Summary:
As a Medical Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care by performing administrative and clinical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Take patient medical histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for medical procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic clinical procedures, such as collecting and processing specimens, administering medications, and dressing wounds, under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment, instruments, and supplies for patient care.
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and provide administrative support, such as filing, billing, and data entry, as needed.
- Educate patients about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive measures, and provide referrals as directed by healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Medical Assisting or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience working as a medical assistant or in a healthcare support role preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
