What’s the role?


The purpose of this position is to:


Key Experiences:



  • Deliver first class front-line support to pensioners, resolving queries/requests within 2 business days and assist in sustaining the high pensioner satisfaction rating achieved by SNCPFA

  • Update the pension database with new pensioners information.

  • Update pensioners database with any changes in address, phone numbers , next of kin etc. of existing pensioners.

  • Conduct twice in a year, online pensioners existence verification exercise, ensure that each individual (3,000+) verification is completed and processed for upload into SAP payroll and retained for review.

  •  Receive pensioners death notification from association, medicals, relatives, staff etc. with death certificate and get approval for them to be archived.

  • Process condolence letter and or pension benefits due letter to the family of deceased pensioners.

  • Receive update of changes in bank details with necessary documents and get approval for the update.

  • Receive and process request from pensioner for the yearly pensioner tax statement and introduction letter for embassy or other purposes.

  • Receive complaints or requests via e-mail, telephone, office visits, or focal points in Warri/Port Harcourt & Other locations and revert to Pensioner within 2 working days on issue resolution or progress to date.

  • Log daily complaints or request in excel spreadsheet.

  • Create a master pensioner address register incorporating email addresses, next of kins and other relevant information.

  • Provide timely and accurate input into the bi-annual Pensioners' Newsletter.

  • Manage interface with auditors with respect to online existence pensioners verification exercise.


What we need from you



  • Professional Accounting Qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA is an added advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 5 years to 10 years post-graduation work experience in accounting or related roles

  • Should be excellent team players with demonstrated ability to contribute positively to team dynamics, with a balanced focus on delivery, development and personal life.

  • Must have high ethical standards, integrity, a personal culture of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and of compliance to organizational policies and procedures.

  • Must have an in-depth knowledge in using MS applications


Experience in one or more of the following will be an added advantage:



  • Business performance management

  • Management Information and reporting (Use of SAP and Business Warehouse or other ERP and MI systems)

  • Financial Accounting and Controlling

  • Post-qualification experience in Audit practice and/or Assurance services

  • Finance process excellence

  • Project Management experience
