  • Planning: Coordinate all aspects of events, from initial concept to execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.

  • Vendor Management: Secure and manage vendors such as caterers, venues, entertainers, and equipment rentals.

  • Communication: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise event staff and volunteers, delegating tasks and ensuring everyone is working towards the event's success.

  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the planning and execution phases, finding creative solutions to ensure a seamless event.

  • Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and identify areas for improvement.


Requirements



  • BSc / HND and Professional Qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience: Previous experience in event planning or management is required, preferably in a similar role or industry.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and details simultaneously.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.

  • Budgeting: Knowledge of budget management and financial planning is important for creating and adhering to event budgets.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to think quickly and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

  • Flexibility: ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work well under pressure is essential.

  • Creativity: A creative mindset to help in designing unique and memorable events that stand out to clients and attendees.

  • Team Management: Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve common goals.
