Purpose Statement:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for the organization. This position involves collaborating with hiring managers, understanding business needs, and implementing effective recruitment strategies to meet the company's staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet the organization's talent needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create job descriptions.
Candidate Sourcing:
- Utilize various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks) to source qualified candidates.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates.
Selection and Screening:
- Conduct initial resume screening and shortlisting of candidates.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, assessments, and other selection processes.
Employer Branding:
- Work on enhancing Sahara Group's employer brand in the talent market.
- Represent the organization at job fairs, industry events, and other networking opportunities.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and priorities.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of ongoing recruitment activities.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
Onboarding Support:
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Minimum Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian job market and recruitment trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
