Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals for patients according to specified menus and dietary requirements.


• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen and food preparation areas.


• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs.


• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.


• Assist with meal service and food distribution as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook in a healthcare setting preferred.


• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.


• Strong culinary skills and ability to prepare meals for large groups.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements and Experience

• Only SSCE or OND holders are required


• Previous work experience in a mental health or general health care facility will be an advantage.

• Strong-willed, able to solve crises and work in a team


• Good communication skill.
