Job Description



  • Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Asset Management Specialist to join our team on an on-going USAID funded Lagos Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Activity (LUWASH) project in Nigeria.

  • The objective of this project is to support our Client, The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), in the expansion and improvement of urban WASH service delivery and infrastructure through strengthened governance, increased accountability, and improved financial and technical capabilities of public water utilities and private sector providers.


Responsibilities

Individual will be responsible for:



  • Assist the team in the preparation of Asset inventory, and asset management plans.

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans for the rehabilitation of water supply infrastructure.

  • Conduct condition assessments and performance evaluations needs and pyritize projects.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed rehabilitation plans, including cost estimates, timelines, and resource requirements.

  • Manage and coordinate the execution of rehabilitation projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project specifications.

  • Monitor and track project progress, including budget and schedule, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Conduct risk assessment and developing risk mitigations strategies to minimize disruption to water supply during rehabilitation activities.

  • Implement asset management systems and tools to rack asset performance, maintenance activities, and lifecycle costs.

  • Any other tasks assigned by the Sheladia home office/ client to ensure smooth project implementation.


Qualifications



  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • Must possess strong knowledge of asset management principles and practices, particularly in the context of water supply systems.

  • Must have experience in conducting condition assessments, risk assessments, and life cycle analyses of infrastructure assets.

  • Proficiency in using asset management software and tools to track and analyze asset performance data.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in asset management for water utilities.
