Job Description:



  • Support the Protection and education officer in the Identification, Registration, and prioritization of protection concerns, conduct follow-up visits, create and implement action plans to address protection concerns affecting children

  • Identify and address protection-related emergency needs of at-risk children promptly.

  • Use appropriate questioning techniques, reflective listening, and suitable exploratory activities to identify needs, issues, and aspirations.

  •  Assist children in gaining and utilizing necessary skills to participate in community and society, through academic support, behavioral control, social skills, communication skills, successful interpersonal behavior, and coping skills

  • Design the appropriate activities for children benefiting from case management respecting the characteristics of each case.

  • Ensure that a high level of confidentiality is maintained and comply with data protection policies and procedures.

  • Prepare precise and accurate weekly and monthly reports on activities and conduct follow up site visits to verify and assess activity implementation.

  • Identify and report gaps in the availability of services and quality of service provision for beneficiaries in the target areas.

  • Participate and conduct other child protection services when needed.

  • Any other activity as requested by the supervisor and project manager.   


Job Competencies:



  • Good command of verbal and written English and any local language of the community

  • Computer literate

  • Strong listening and empathy skills, as well as commitment to support the well-being of vulnerable children;

  • Good cooperation skills, ability to work well independently and in a team;

  • Good problem solving and social skills; creative, able to think of alternative solutions;

  • Stress-resilient to be able to cope with deadlines and complex problems;

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills;

  • Willing to work extra hours and available at the weekend for emergency cases as required


Job Essentials:



  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social sciences, or another relevant field.

  • Social work, community development, or other relevant major or minimum 2 years of previous experience as a social worker/caseworker with I/NGO;
