  • Perform market research and identify the best prices/qualities.

  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement.

  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

  • Review the quality of purchased products.

  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases

  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.

  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.

  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.

  • Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.

  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.

  • Respond to staff and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.

  • Perform buying duties when necessary and ensure quality goods and services are purchased at all times.

  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.

  • Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.

  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists.

  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.

  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.

  • Calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts.

  • Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.

  • Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.

  • Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases and provide information about these rules to organization staff members and vendors.

  • Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping purposes.

  • Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom by generating Materials Received Report (MRR) promptly.

  • Completes store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Manages the inward & outward flow of inventory with proper documentation.

  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.

  • Support the Project team with any back-end activities.

  • Submit monthly reports of activities.

  • And any other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • HND / B.Sc in Management, Economics, Engineering, Procurement or any other related field obtained in a recognized University.

  • Proven work experience as a Procurement Officer/Storekeeper with a minimum of 2 years in the Engineering Industry.

  • Applicants with Technical Background would be highly considered.

  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office especially MS Excel skills

  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)

  • Good ability to resolve problems related to procurement.

  • Good communication andnegotiation skills.

  • Understanding of supply chain procedures
