  • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to assume the role of a Piping/ Mechanical Design Engineer. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and efficient project execution, our client stands at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge solutions in the oil and gas industry.


About the Role



  • Develop and execute project piping and mechanical engineering designs, adhering to client specifications and industry standards.

  • Perform detailed design calculations, prepare engineering data sheets and specifications, and shop fabrication drawings.

  • Conduct stress analysis and ensure structural integrity of piping systems using relevant software (e.g., CAESER-2).

  • Oversee the fabrication process, inspecting materials and components for quality and conformance to design specifications.

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of systems.

  • Manage and supervise on-site piping and mechanical installation activities, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

  • Prepare and review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for piping and mechanical systems.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports.

  • Participate in technical discussions and meetings, providing expert advice and solutions.

  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulators.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • 10+ years' experience in piping and mechanical engineering design and/or fabrication for oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industries.

  • COREN Registered

  • Proven experience with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS).

  • Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach.

  • Experience with pressure vessel and equipment design and analysis.
