Job Summary



  • Our client is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator in charge of sites/project operations.


Responsibilities



  • An experienced Project COREN Certified Engineer/ QSBN QS/ Architect who has coordinated multiple projects at a time of not less than 250 – 300 units with experience managing High-rise projects

  • Strong Eye for detailing and can easily spot errors in designs

  • Must naturally be a field-oriented person with a strong flair for creativity

  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Must be ready and willing to work anywhere within Nigeria especially Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja

  • Must be familiar with Engineering Software/QS Applications/ Architectural Software

  • Must have strong commercial skills such that can negotiate and close out contracts that are beneficial to his principal

  • Must have a wide knowledge of alternative construction materials so he can advise management as the need arises

  • Must have good Report writing and communication skills

  • Must be able to work under pressure, and long hours and meet deadlines

  • Must have the ability to adapt to changes and be open to learning

  • Must be result-oriented and target-driven

  • Must have high ethical standards in his approach to work, people, and management

  • The prospective candidate must be responsible for managing a minimum of five (5) sites and carry out routine inspections across the 5 sites to ensure work is within the target plan

  • Must be able to sign off properly on Milestone stage work of projects correctly under his purview

  • Must be able to coordinate monthly meetings with contractors to solve problems arising from project sites

  • Must be able to have weekly meetings with Project managers across sites under his purview and throw up challenges beyond his capacity for senior management to handle

  • Must be responsible for coordinating payments, preparing schedules and processing approvals through the Office of the COO

  • Must make sure that every contractor under his purview has proper contract documentation which must be reviewed and certified okay


Requirements



  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and, Architecture

  • Possession of an M.Sc. in a relevant discipline is an added advantage

  • Possession of a project management certification, COREN, or QSRBN is an added advantage.

  • Proven 7 years of relevant working experience deploying strategies in the real estate industry as relates to costing, budgeting, and site supervision

  • Candidate must be proficient in the use of MS tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Good supervisory and decision-making skills with professionals from different industries, and different levels of management

  • Candidate must be focus-driven, and possess a keen eye for details.

  • A strong proven record of excellent execution of projects and timely delivery of tasks

  • Candidate must possess good multi-tasking skills and a great sense of task ownership.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, conflict resolution, and people managerial skills

  • Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to accurately interpret designs.
