Role Summary:


As a Rheumatologist, you will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases affecting the joints, muscles, and connective tissues.


Responsibilities:



  • Diagnose and treat rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis.

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's condition and needs.

  • Prescribe medications, injections, and other therapeutic interventions to manage symptoms and slow disease progression.

  • Educate patients and their families about rheumatic diseases, treatment options, and self-management strategies.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.


Requirements:



  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.

  • Residency training in Rheumatology.

  • Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases.

  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
