Role Summary:


As a Ward Nurse, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and competent nursing care to patients admitted to the hospital ward. You will collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to assess patients' needs, develop care plans, and ensure the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.


Responsibilities:



  • Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients admitted to the ward.

  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians and monitor patients' responses.

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition regularly, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.

  • Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.


Requirements:



  • Diploma or degree in Nursing.

  • Valid nursing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

  • Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting, preferably in a ward or medical-surgical unit.

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
