Job Description



Role summary:



  • In this role, you will report to the Head of Production and work closely with him to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all equipment and utilities across all facilities.

  • You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems and equipment across the organization.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage maintenance of all aspects of mechanical systems, equipment and machinery across Câm’s facilities.

  • Initiate, adjust and operate equipment, ensuring proper shutdown and transition according to company standards in order to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct all essential quality testing and checks.

  • Ensure all assigned duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner

  • Adhere thoroughly to scheduled preventive maintenance timelines.

  • Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and activities aimed at enhancing plant performance.

  • Contribute to the procurement of spare parts.

  • Identify and resolve issues in mechanical, basic electrical and refrigeration systems through troubleshooting procedures.

  • Execute food safety tasks delegated by the departmental head.

  • Regularly inspect facilities to determine the condition of structural components and electrical and mechanical equipment, along with preparing and submitting reports recommending work assignments as needed

  • Train teams on optimal operation of equipment and maintenance procedures

  • Ensure adherence to sustainability best practices with respect to manufacturing and industrial operations, including waste management and chemical usage.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations at federal and state levels, including the completion of statutory registrations and acquisition of permits.

  • Work closely with the Factory Operations team to help them achieve departmental goals.

  • Support the Head of Logistics, Distribution and Maintenance by completing any

  • assigned procurement tasks to ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.

  • Implement maintenance procedures and protocols

  • Implement a routine and preventative maintenance program

  • Diagnose faults and undertake planned maintenance

  • Respond rapidly and efficiently to and resolve major equipment breakdowns

  • Procure, test, and commission specialist components, fixtures or fittings

  • Diagnose faults and maintain temperature-controlled equipment and devices

  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

  • Collaborate with other departments to perform preventive maintenance and

  • address emergency repairs.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs

Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are advantageous.

  • A Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a mechanical technician or similar role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of and industry standards.

  • Ability to Troubleshoot, basic equipment care and machine diagnose with the use of manual assembly diagram.

  • Good knowledge of GMP and the operation of utility equipment such as steam generators, compressors and HVAC systems.

  • Generally tech-savvy with competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint as a minimum

  • Proficiency in Non-Conformity Management. Able to analyze problems, detect root

  • causes and proffer corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues.

  • Effective communication, time management and teamwork abilities.

  • Excellent problem solving ability.

  • Should have an idea in domestic and industrial electricity.
