Role Summary:


As a Respiratory Therapist at our client's healthcare facility, you will play a crucial role in assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. You will conduct diagnostic tests, administer respiratory therapies, and provide patient education and support to optimize respiratory function and improve overall health.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments to evaluate patients' lung function and respiratory status.

  • Perform diagnostic tests such as spirometry, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulse oximetry to assess respiratory function and oxygenation.

  • Administer respiratory therapies and treatments, including oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and airway clearance techniques, according to physician orders and treatment protocols.

  • Monitor patients' response to respiratory treatments and therapies, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and alleviate symptoms.

  • Provide patient education on respiratory conditions, treatment options, medication use, and lifestyle modifications to promote self-management and compliance with therapy.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with respiratory disorders.

  • Document all respiratory care interventions, assessments, and patient responses accurately and timely in the electronic health record.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.

  • Proven experience working as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a hospital setting.

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
