Role Summary:


As an Oncologist at our client's healthcare facility, you will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancer patients. You will work closely with other members of the oncology team to develop personalized treatment plans, oversee chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.


Responsibilities:



  • Diagnose and stage various types of cancer using advanced imaging techniques, biopsies, and laboratory tests.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans for cancer patients based on their diagnosis, stage of cancer, and overall health status.

  • Coordinate and oversee chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other cancer treatments, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and guidelines.

  • Monitor patients' progress during treatment, assessing response to therapy and managing treatment-related side effects and complications.

  • Provide supportive care and palliative care services to cancer patients to improve their quality of life and alleviate symptoms.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists, to provide integrated and multidisciplinary cancer care.

  • Participate in clinical research studies and trials to evaluate new cancer treatments and therapies.


Requirements:



  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.

  • Residency training in Oncology.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Oncology.

  • Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.

  • Proven experience working as an Oncologist, preferably in a hospital setting.

  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of cancer diagnosis, staging, and treatment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
